Well I finally did it, I bought a home! I still have days where I need to pinch myself. After years of traveling around the United States as a travel nurse and just for fun, I was able to pick a spot on the map that was pretty perfect.
I say pretty perfect because I wasn’t able to purchase a home in California, where I grew up. I told myself once I make my millions, I’ll be back 🙂 But in the meantime, I found a home within 15 minutes of an airport, walking distance to a gorgeous lake, and about 20 minutes to the downtown nightlife! And yes, I had a list of “must haves” I knew I wanted if moving out of state. I really scored and could not have asked for more. Juno ( my 5 year old wennie mix) and I are settling in nicely, but funny enough, we’ve only lived in this house for a little over 5 weeks. Even though we have moved, life is definitely still happening in California. I’ve flown back for birthday and retirement parties, a funeral and most importantly, back for a week to spend time with a bestie whose 8 months pregnant and wanted a little company while her hubby was away for work. Although I see this as my first little starter home, this space will have more impact on my life than I even know. I am so excited for the independence I will have here, the quiet evenings watching the glow of the log burning fire place and the never ending nature that surrounds us. But I look forward to all my family and friends who visit and the new memories that will be made, lasting a lifetime. I look forward to sharing all my home decor visions that come to life and how I transform this little LAKE HOUSE into a home for all to enjoy. Here’s to new beginnings, Juno and I can’t wait for this new chapter in our lives to begin!

Life. It’s Yours. Live It.
